Our Seriously Good Yorkshire Parkin cake is baked to our 100 year old family recipe. Our unique ginger cake is baked using flour, oatmeal, black treacle and syrup.
One of the Seriously Good things about our Yorkshire Parkin is that the treacle in the recipe caramelises and hardens during baking, so before it leaves the bakery it is kept for a few days to allow it to "come again" - this is where the caramel softens giving each piece the perfect crumbly stickiness.
There are various ways to enjoy Yorkshire Parkin cake. Spread it with a little butter and enjoy with a cup of tea, layer it with fresh strawberries and cream or eat it as a pudding with our delicious caramel sticky sauce.

Incredibly Disapointing Would Never Order From...
I ordered my parkin cake in plenty of time to arrive before bonfire night, I contacted customer services as my order status hadn't been updated? I got an email informing me that my order had been dispatched, and I would receive my order within the time scale promised! Again it didn't arrive and on the Friday I contacted customer services again, I recieved an answer on the Monday stating that DPD had apparently mislaid a lot of pallettes which my order had been a part of? A half hearted appology no offer of compensation or even free postage! just told that my order had been despatched also I noticed my order had been updated to despatched? Which confused me as to why it hadn't already been updated as despatched previously? After being more than patient I decided to cancel my order and request a full refund, I felt that there was no communication or care which is sad and disappointing especiqlly for a new customer......

I would recommend this cake to anyone. It delicious. As a northerner I am used to eating this kind of cake. Living in the south you can't get this cake , so knowing I can buy it on line is fantastic.
