Hot cross treacle...
Ordered pack of 4 hot cross treacle tarts by post. When they arrived they were in just about acceptable condition but some pastry had broken off. I understand the need for the need to pack the product tightly to try and prevent the pastry breaking but the amount of excess cardboard was far too much. Surely there is a way of packing the item for safe transit without using so much excess cardboard? The product tasted good but I expected a different , sweeter taste. Perhaps I had imagined it would have syrup in as well but in any case…it was a treat for myself which didn’t meet the mark unfortunately. It didn’t feel enough of a treat and felt as though it was something I could’ve bought in a Londis or Premier or small corner supermarket. The quality and condition of the product didn’t match the premium price point. It’s also a shame your range is not available in locals shops .

I was worried these may be too sweet , but they weren't. Delicious . Lovely warm with a little custard.

these were such lovely lush tarts! really lovely and treacly but with hot cross bun flavours, citrusy and spicy. Honestly will definitely order again. Also delivery was incredibly speedy and loved the box :)

A lovely product for...
I purchased Parkin, Parkin biscuits and Hot cross tarts. I’m yet to try the Parkin but the biscuits are delicious and the tarts are lovely. Very reminiscent of a hot cross but with a slight spice, and very short pastry. Lovely stuff!

Lovely hot cross...
I ordered these as an easter gift for someone who doesn't eat chocolate, but knew I'd want some too - so I added a box for me. And they are delicious. Perfect with a cup of tea!
