Our Rich Luxury Fruit Cake is packed with fruit which we have taken the time to soak in Stout from our friends at Little Valley Brewery in Cragg Vale. I had an Irish Grandma who baked her fruit cake using stout and her recipe gives the cake depth and flavour.
Each cake is hand wrapped and presented in a card box making it the perfect gift to be enjoyed with a cup of tea and a slice of cheese, just as we do in Yorkshire.
Our fruit cake is made using nuts, so is not suitable for those with a nut allergy.
Please note this product contains alcohol.
This product has a minimum shelf life of 6 months from baking, so there is plenty of time to enjoy this treat.

I honestly can't report on the flavour as we haven't eaten it yet! But it certainly looks magnificent with all that fruit contained therein. Some cakes boast extravagantly about their fruit content when in fact there may be very little (and often dry) actual fruit when you cut it open. This fruit cake has an advertising campaign going on in full view of the consumer, masses of fruit on show. It will be hard not to break into the wrapping before our intended party date, but it will be a special occasion and we want only the best and this little gem promises to be that.

The products are all tasty and good value. The delivery time was disappointing and I had to phone customer service twice. It took 9 days from order. No compensation offered just an explanation that dpd had not scanned a whole pallet of orders

Stout...
I don't normally like fruit cake..but because I am now very old lady my tastebuds have at last matured so now is the time to 'have a bit of fruit cake'. I picked yours because of the word 'Stout' immediately appealed to me. I was hooked straight away. The cake is so moist and tasty. I even went one stage further and had it with cheese (sophisticated a?)...so that solved my pudding problem for the next few days. In fact for the first time in my life I actually bought another stout cake the other day...just wish it had marzipan and icing on..would have done me for Christmas. But I think I will just stay with butter and cheese for now. From a very happy customer.
