You could never beat my favourite mince pie but...
I love mince pies, so much so that I have to limit myself each year, else the pounds would really pile on. My favourite mince pie ever was the homemade mince pies an old employee would make and bring into work each year. When she retired and moved to a different part of the country others tried to recreate her mince pies, but despite how good they were they were, they were just not the same. I’ve tried different shop brands each year, some good, some not so good, but none came anywhere near close to my favourite. While ordering other bits, I decided to order some mince pies for myself. I’ve just tried one. Absolutely amazing. Almost as good as my former employees mince pies and certainly better than any other I’ve ever bought. I’ll only be buying mince pies from here from now one.
